Covered by insurance in all 50 states, incl. Medicare Advantage day one

Siggy is always free for veterans.

If you served, your psychiatric care at Siggy costs nothing: the intake, the prescriber visits, the follow-ups, all of it. No insurance paperwork, no VA referral required, no waitlist.

In crisis right now? Call 988 and press 1, or text 838255, for the Veterans Crisis Line. It is staffed 24/7, and you do not need to be enrolled in VA care to use it. Siggy is not an emergency service.

Why we do this.

Roughly half of veterans who need mental health care never receive it. The reasons are consistent across 2 decades of research: wait times, distance to care, cost, and the difficulty of walking into a clinic and saying you need help.

We cannot fix all of that. We can remove cost and let you talk to a prescriber from home.

What veterans come to us for.

There is a stereotype that veteran mental health means one diagnosis. The reality is broader. Veterans come to Siggy for the same reasons everyone else does, sometimes shaped by service and sometimes not:

You do not need to know which of these fits before you book. That is the prescriber's job.

How treatment works.

Siggy provides psychiatric medication management through licensed prescribers, with a video visit when medication is appropriate. 2 things to know:

What to know

We prescribe only non-controlled medications.

For depression, anxiety, sleep, and PTSD, these are the first-line options anyway. VA/DoD clinical guidelines specifically recommend against benzodiazepines for PTSD, so nothing about our scope shortchanges your care.

What to know

For PTSD, the strongest evidence supports trauma-focused therapy.

CPT, PE, or EMDR, alongside or instead of medication. If therapy is what you need, we will say so and help you find it, including through VA and Vet Center programs to which you may already be entitled. Free care that is candid about its limits is the only kind worth offering.

Siggy and your VA benefits.

Siggy is not affiliated with the VA, and using us does not affect your VA benefits, disability rating, or eligibility for VA care. Many veterans use Siggy while waiting for VA appointments or alongside VA care.

FAQs.

Is this really free? What's the catch?
There is no catch. Veterans pay nothing for Siggy psychiatric care.
Do I need to be enrolled in VA healthcare?
No. Siggy is independent of the VA. You do not need a referral, a rating, or a VA enrollment to use it.
Will this show up in my VA record or affect my benefits?
Siggy records are separate from VA records and are not shared without your consent. Seeking care through Siggy does not affect your benefits or rating.
Can you prescribe the medication I was on in service or at the VA?
If it is a non-controlled medication, very likely yes, and your prescriber will review your history to keep continuity. We do not prescribe controlled substances such as benzodiazepines or stimulants.
What if I need therapy, not medication?
Then that is what we will tell you. Your prescriber can point you to trauma-focused therapy options, including VA and Vet Center services many veterans do not realize they can access.
